Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers will make a sprightly young groove doctor out of anyone. With spectacular energy pulsating from every member of the band, the Rainbow Seekers could illuminate the very chambers of Heaven. Lead singer Joe Hertler splashes through lyrical puddles of golden rain, leaving his audience wearing flowery crowns and bubbling smiles. A ride on the Rainbow will take you across the mountains of Motown, through the fjords of folk, over the archipelagos of Americana, and-at last-into a funky firth, where only the fiercest of friendships can be found.

The Rainbow Seekers began their historic quest 8 years ago, revolving around the pure, unadulterated songwriting of their fearless leader, Joe Hertler. Ryan Hoger was the first among the Seekers to find this lonely songsmith and recognize the twinkling magic in his beard.  The young boy gave up all his earthly possessions (besides his guitar, of course) and became the first disciple of the Rainbow. With this, the core of the Rainbow was thereby established, and it didn’t take long for the Rainbow Seekers to continue their expansion. Multi-instrumentalist and notable auxiliary percussion maestro Micah Bracken journeyed from the bowels of Atlantis when he heard tell of the Rainbow, and the earth trembled as saxophonist and all-around badass Aaron Stinson descended from Olympus on a golden rainbow of his own. Then came thunder from the depths of space and as it picked up the bass, a soft exhale escaped the lips of every princess within a hundred moons, “Bambis,” they cooed. All the while, on the other ends of the earth, a young boy was hard at work, honing and sharpening his sticks for the day that the Rainbow would come his way, and when it landed at his door, Ryan McMahon climbed aboard. 

Since the early days, their quest has brought them across the nation and upon such noble gatherings as Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Summer Camp. As you'll know if you've seen the band, seeking the proverbial Rainbow is all about the live performance. "The live show is the purpose of the band. This is why we make music. Playing music is a symbiotic process, the crowd is as much a part of it as the musicians. We give as much energy and love as we can and we can feel that coming from the crowd as well" says Hertler. "We believe that performance is not a High Art operation, and that you should do anything you can to ensure that the crowd is having a good time. From piñatas to confetti, to fog, to flowers, to drum solos, to strobe lights, to Thor, to sword battles-literally anything goes.”

Learn how to find inspiration in the cosmos and beyond, how to design creatures and characters, and how to bring your creature to life as a wearable mask. 


Meow Wolf is a Certified B Corporation, which means we strive to be an environmental steward. We often redirect materials once destined for the landfill, so we encourage you to bring household trash items to use in your design! Some examples of craftable trash are clean, empty plastic bottles, plastic or paper grocery bags, cardboard, clean tubing, bubble wrap, or any weird little bits of packing material, and clean, dry aluminum cans. 


Examples of things to leave in the recycle and/or compost bin: GLASS, SCRAP METAL, ANYTHING GROSS and ICKY. All other materials (as well as a huge supply of Meow Wolf’s trash) are provided, so just bring a healthy imagination. We will be working with paint and glue, so please avoid wearing any precious clothing items. 


*Participants must be 16 years of age and older. Classes will take place on the following Saturdays: April 1st, 8th, and 15th from 2-4pm MT at Fancy Tiger Crafts (59 Broadway Denver, CO 80203). The final class will occur on April 22nd, 2-4pm at Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station where the class will present our creations to each other and take pictures in the exhibit. Space is very limited, so we ask all participants to commit to attending each of the four classes.

For Taylor Scott, nothing is black and white. He operates in the grey areas between genres, creating his own colorful hybrid of roots-rock, funk, soul, and troubadour-style Americana. It's a sound that's as diverse as its creator, whipped into sharp shape by a musician who's equal parts guitar hero and singer/songwriter craftsman. He embraces. the full range of those roles with The Hang, the third album from the Taylor Scott Band.

Produced by longtime Los Lobos member Steve Berlin, The Hang shines new light on a songwriter who has spent much of his life onstage and on the road. Raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Taylor Scott grew up beneath the wide skies of the rural American West, where a childhood appreciation for country music — whose twangy textures seemed to reflect his surroundings — soon gave way to an obsession with rebellious, guitar-driven rock & roll. By 16 years old, he'd found a new love: old-school blues music. It was a genre that suited his soulful vocals and hotshot guitar skills, and Scott began playing regional festivals while still a high school student. 

Shortly after graduation, he was recruited by Otis Taylor to join the blues legend's band. What followed was a whirlwind of international tour dates, with Scott spending four years as Taylor's guitarist.

"It changed my trajectory," he remembers. "Otis was a blues artist who defied and disregarded blues purism. He didn't see himself as belonging to one genre; he just saw himself as a songwriter, and that had a big impact on me." Scott funneled those lessons into his own music, crafting original songs that nodded to his influences while simultaneously reaching beyond them. Schooled in the classic songwriting of Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, and Jerry Jeff Walker, he combined a lyric-driven approach with the fiery fretwork of an instrumentalist who'd experienced his coming-of-age while touring the world. This wasn't the blues. It wasn't funk, rock, or jam-band music, either. Instead, it was all of those things: a sound that was diverse and singular at the same time.

A Closer Look, a Second Glance marked Scott's solo debut in 2016, while 2019's All We Have — his first collaboration with Steve Berlin — helped expand his audience far beyond his adopted hometown of Denver. Scott even began playing with Los Lobos on occasion, appearing onstage to jam with a group of musicians who, like himself,obliterated genre boundaries. For a young songwriter, playing with such a legendary band wasn't just a vote of confidence; it was an inspiration, too.

"Their music is so deep, so wide, and so impossible to put into a box," Taylor says. "It's like you're watching a movie, where each song is a new scene and each album is a whole new world. The grooves, the Latin influence, the way the band mates play whatever inspires them — it all rubbed off on me."

Taylor Scott Band began earning a reputation as a must-see live act, with explorative performances that stretched Scott's songs to new lengths. Released in 2020, Live at the Belly Up captured Scott onstage, leading his band through an incendiary mix of Gibson guitar grit, swirling organ, and cathartic melodies. When the Covid-19 pandemic brought the group's touring schedule to a standstill, though, he went back to the drawing board, writing a new batch of songs that examined the contradictions and dualities of the modern moment.

The result is 2022's The Hang. It's an album that peeks into dark corners without losing sight of the light. A nuanced album that's introspective one moment and community-minded the next. Most importantly, it's an album about finding happiness — with oneself, with others, and with a world that's sometimes challenging and chaotic.

Kick-starting the record with pulsing percussion and heartland hooks, "Leaning Tree" finds Scott looking for stability while always on the move. "Shade Tree American Dream" takes a more lighthearted approach, its sunny melodies flanked by vocal harmonies and a cyclical guitar pattern, while "Dance All Night" brews up a moody backdrop of western guitars and barreling drums. "It's about the battle between me and the outside world, or maybe just between me and myself," Scott says of the latter track. "It's about finding the light through the dark. That's how we live — me and my wider community — and it's fun to reflect that perspective in the music."

Community is the key word. A leading light in Denver's music scene, Scott enlists help from a number of his friends, turning The Hang into the musical embodiment of the album title itself. Longtime band mate Jon Wirtz adds plenty of B3 organ and atmospheric keyboard textures. Eric Benny Bloom, the trumpet player of Lettuce, lends his horn to the nostalgic soul of "Throwback Grooves." Relying on instinct, intuition, and chemistry, The Taylor Scott Band even tackles a handful of songs completely live, including a fiery cover of Bash & Pop's "Aim to Please," with Scott Berlin providing first-rate guidance along the way.

"With my band, it's never just about business," Scott explains. "It's about the hang. It's about spending time with people you love, and creating an ever-widening community. That's one of my favorite things, not only in music, but in life, too. So much of my music is about being present, and The Hang embodies that spirit."

Taylor Scott has every reason to be present. With The Hang, though, he builds his way toward an even brighter future.

An artist who pours every ounce of his being into his emotive productions, he is driven by unwavering commitment to simply doing the work; making time to refine his craft, so that he can express himself in the clearest and most emphatic way he can. Two stunning EPs on Lane 8’s This Never Happened helped establish Paraleven’s production prowess, his music blending core elements of deep, melodic and progressive house to codify his own highly affecting sonic identity. With a previously released 11 track debut album signed to Rufus Du Sol’s Rose Avenue label, plans to elevate his live performances and the desire to shift global consciousness, Paraleven is poised for the next exceptional phase of his blossoming career.

Born Josh Taylor and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Paraleven’s connection with music goes way back to his youth. Besides some piano lessons when he was a teenager, he is a self-taught, borderline obsessive musician. Inspired by deadmau5 when he was at college, Josh became fascinated with electronic music and set out on a voyage of discovery with his trusty FL Studio software. From that inception point in 2009 it wasn’t long before his dedication led to early success. Teaming up with a friend, Alex Dunsker, to form the formidable duo Halogen. Their music struck a chord with fans across the world, and caught the attention of execs at Ultra Music, who signed them up, as well as consistent support from the hugely influential Hype Machine. This crucial period gave him the industry knowledge and connections needed to launch his own solo project.

It all began with a pivotal ego death experience into consciousness at the age of 21, which was when Paraleven received the message that music was to be his true calling. Ever since, he’s kept a laser-like focus on learning, creating and getting his work out there. He juggles a full-time job, a marriage and a “normal life” with producing heartfelt electronica designed to lift your soul and raise your consciousness. A dedicated meditator, Paraleven has a distinct ability to tune in to the deepest parts of himself, while staying grounded and maintaining a human touch in everything he does. He transcends the fear frequency to embrace love and compassion. As fans the world over will testify, Paraleven’s music is pure exhilaration for the soul, lifting spirits and boosting moods.

These core attributes of his music can be heard on his first two EPs, ‘Siphon/Ripples’ and ‘Soloma’, as well as his debut album Apollo. Comprised 11 tracks, the LP marks the next evolutionary step in Paraleven’s development. Elements of his early work are there, alongside euphoria, high energy, hints of melancholy and a variety of vocal features that fortify the album’s soulful integrity. Every step of the way the music is delivered with panache, and a refined, polished sheen. Incredibly, all of the composition, sound design and arrangement is created on headphones... high-spec headphones, but headphones nonetheless. A testament to Paraleven’s ingenuity and musical capabilities.

Besides his studio work, Paraleven is an accomplished performer. After signing with This Never Happened, he was invited to join the US kingpin on a 12-date tour across the States to showcase Lane 8’s album Brightest Lights. An honor for the producer to be on tour with such an influential figurehead so early in his solo career, and an indicator of just how remarkable his first solo efforts were. In between releases Paraleven has been keeping fans engaged with his Retrograde Mixtape series. The mixes have been tuned to the 432hz frequency, which is regarded by many in the sound healing community as being the natural tuning for musical instruments. In a variety of cymatics experiments, where sound is converted into visuals using water or sand, 432hz is proven time and time again to be more harmonious than the industry standard 440. Likewise, by simply closing your eyes and taking a listening test, you can hear (and feel) the soothing frequency from 432hz. The Retrograde Mixtapes are usually released during Mercury Retrograde, a time when universal energy is disrupted and bad luck is more commonplace. Paraleven’s aim is to counteract the negativity of this time with positive music tuned to a peace-inducing wavelength.

With a live show evolving over the last few years, Paraleven continues to invest his boundless energy into nurturing his creative outlet, and taking it to the highest possible level. The year 2022 brought many career highlights, with the release of his Shadow Work EP released on Rose Avenue receiving DSP support and critical acclaim, he followed up with a 12 stop North America tour supporting the Grammy Nominated artists and label owners Rufus Du Sol. Performing at some of the world's most iconic venues including the Gorge, Red Rocks with sold out crowds of up to 25 thousand people, he continues to grow his ever expanding fanbase into the following year. He is now poised to take on his second headline, hard ticket tour across North America. Phyphr (real name Nick Locke) is turning heads with his vibrant twist on electronic funk, soul and blues. Combining live guitar with electronic elements, funky grooves and catchy hooks, Phyphr delivers a live performance you won’t forget. Hailing from the east coast and now a Denver local, Phyphr embodies the Mile high City’s electronic sound!

The rising electro soul artist has opened up for national acts like The Floozies, Manic Focus, Daily Bread, SoDown, Marvel Years, Maddy O’Neal, Jason Leech, Shooka, Cofresi and Recycled Funk. He has garnered recent festival plays at Summer Camp, Kosmic Kingdom, Hulaween, Gem & Jam, Dreamscape, High Ground. A staple name on Denver’s own Riverbeats Dance, whose fans nominated the producer for Breakout Artist of the Year for 2020, Phyphr is excited to be bringing the world his debut album in February 2023, which includes collaborations with acts such as Manic Focus, Jason Leech, Kanika Moore of Doom Flamingo and Kaptain.

Adam Deitch (born April 26, 1976) is a Grammy-nominated American drummer, songwriter, composer, and producer. Among the most accomplished and prolific artists of his generation, Deitch was born and raised in Nyack, NY and currently residing in Denver Colorado, a founding member of future-funk band Lettuce, half of electro-soul duo Break Science, longtime foil to Grammy-winning jazz guitarist and Miles Davis alum John Scofield, leads groove-jazz explorations with his Adam Deitch Quartet. Deitch is also an in-demand electronic and hip-hop producer, working alongside titans like Pretty Lights and 50 Cent. 

An only child born to talented Berklee College of Music drummers, Adam embarked on his musical odyssey in the womb; he began playing a full drum-set by age three, performing at local elementary schools at five, and found his way to the drum seat for area Baptist church bands before he was a teen. At the same time he began learning the drums, Adam started producing alongside father Bobby; mother Denise made sure her son was well acquainted with the likes of Quincy Jones. Enmeshed in his folks’ eclectic artist friends and contemporaries, Adam absorbed all that was being shared and passed on to him from this uniquely-cultured adolescent environment. 

Yet hip-hop was one genre that spoke to him most profoundly, and he did not find it through his parent’s record collection. Adam Deitch’s trademark hip-hop ethos was initially sparked by his earliest production work with a hometown rap crew dubbed The Secret Service. In 1992-93, Deitch was frequenting The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, a seminal NYC live hip-hop Mecca where he sat in behind future superstars. 

Also in 1992, as high-school students on a summer program at the Berklee School of Music, Deitch’s now-legendary funk collective Lettuce first came together,, serendipitously bonding through a shared love of funk and hip-hop. Accepted to the prestigious school in Boston, MA in 1994, Adam studied with the renowned Kenwood Dennard and was mentored by Gospel/R&B organist/vocalist Dennis Montgomery, and was inducted into the legendary Wally’s house band, a rite of passage where many of the Lettuce members first cut their teeth performing funk and groove music. 

Soon, Deitch would join up with Fat Bag, a funk-rap hybrid that was briefly signed to Interscope. This experience was followed by seminal Boston hip-hop band The Formula, which also included members of Lettuce. After his third year at Berklee, at the age of 22 Deitch was drafted by soul legends the Average White Band, learning the ropes of the touring business and the intricacies of funk dynamics with a three-year stint on the AWB drum seat. 

After an extended collaboration during a January 2001 Lettuce residency at the now-defunct NYC club The Wetlands, Deitch was invited to join John Scofield’s band for a series of groove-based tours and albums, including the celebrated Uberjam, 2003’s Up All Night, on which the drummer shared songwriting credit on five tunes, as well as Uberjam Deux over a decade later. Their partnership is alive and thriving as Scofield continues to guest with Lettuce around the country, and appears on Adam Deitch Quartet’s forthcoming debut LP Egyptian Secrets, due in Fall 2019. 

Lettuce released their studio debut Outta Here in 2002, a year later Live in Tokyo was culled from a resulting run through Japan. The members then focused on other projects; Deitch toured with The Fugees, GZA (of Wu-Tang Clan), he worked with pop culture icons like Wyclef Jean, Justin Timberlake, as well as avant-garde artists like Meshell N’DegeOcello. Starting in 2008 with the wildly-popular and critically-acclaimed RAGE, Lettuce accelerated its output, issuing four studio albums in the following decade, several accompanying EPs, plus Witches Stew, a live record in tribute to Miles Davis recorded in 2014. Most recently, Lettuce unveiled their masterful fifth full-length LP Elevate, co-produced by the decorated Russ Elevado, who’s worked with D’angelo, The Roots, Erykah Badu, among others. Recently, the band has shared their stage with Bob Weir and John Mayer of Dead & Company at a high profile appearance at LOCK’N Festival 2018, and a historic engagement collaborating with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in November 2018. 
Around 2008, the embryonic Adam Deitch Project morphed into electronic duo Break Science, pairing Deitch with producer/keyboardist Borahm Lee, a veteran player who’s worked withThe Fugees, Kanye West, and Lee Perry. Deitch programs drums, chops samples, plays synths and produces tracks alongside the virtuosic Lee to create the Break Science elixir. The dynamic duo rode the Colorado electro-soul wave, patiently developing their own brand of bump; Break Science has since released four EPs and two full-length LPs, including 2018’s Grid of Souls. Members of Lettuce often collaborate with the duo under the guise of Break Science Live Band, a colossal combination of Adam’s two passion projects.

In the early 2000s Deitch teamed with Lettuce co-founder Eric Krasno to form hip-hop production crew Fyre Dept. Subsequently, Deitch has himself supplied beats for two generations of groundbreaking emcees such as Redman, 50 Cent, Talib Kweli, KRS-One, and Pharoahe Monch. In 2005, Deitch and other members of Lettuce backed up West Coast rap legend DJ Quik on Greatest Hits: Live at the House of Blues. As a drummer and a producer, Deitch also has his thumb on the pulse of the underground, and his work with SoCal turntablist Z-Trip and Bay Area producer/engineer Headnodic prove that Adam remains an equal opportunity beat conductor. In addition to these myriad collabs, Deitch has developed his own lane for solo electronic music production and DJ sets, releasing a series of original instrumental hip-hop and electronic full-length albums through his own imprint Golden Wolf Records. 

Deitch has been nominated for Grammy awards for his work with the likes of Scofield’s Uberjam, and R&B chanteuse Ledesi’s Turn Me Loose, and Pretty Lights A Color Map of the Sun; he wrote for Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi’s Revelator, which won the award for Best Blues Album. Deitch has collaborated with dozens of others spread across several genres and generations. There are few - if any - artists with a resume reads that quite like his. Never satisfied or one to rest on his laurels, for Adam Deitch, the beat goes on.

Covet started in 2014 as a bedroom project by guitarist Yvette Young, who at the time, was balancing writing music part time with working as an art teacher. Over the years, the project has certainly grown beyond its “Bay Area garage band” roots and has been fortunate enough to reach people all over the world- enough so that Young eventually left her teaching job to pursue making music with a band full-time.

With a background in visual art, art therapy/education, and classical piano/violin, Young aims to write emotive songs that capture colorful imagery, uplift, and tell stories. Their sound can be described as “instrumental progressive rock” but the music draws influence from many genres like Midwest emo and shoegaze and doesn’t try to adhere to one main sound. Young’s fluid and polyphonic fingerstyle approach to guitar is often described as very piano-like, and although her playing at surface level is technical and intricate, the music still aims to make people feel something and make people want to dance. 

The band has released an EP Currents, an acoustic EP, and 2 full length albums Effloresce and Technicolor. Over time the sound has really transformed from its twinkly mathrock origins to a more evolved, fuller, more melodically complex sound that incorporates a myriad of tones and textures. There is currently one new album in the works, which the band will be playing songs from.

He and co-facilitator Ashley Klein will create an intentional container to experience the healing power of music, dance, and authentic expression. Poranguí’s live music set will be complemented by Ashley’s vocal guidance and live visual projections creating an unforgettable journey through the beauty of the earth and the tapestry of life. 

The Beauty Way album and tour are inspired by Diné (Navajo) teachings from Poranguí & Ashley’s beloved Southwest. To walk in the Beauty Way is to live in balance and harmony with the unfolding of all life. Walking the Beauty Way together, we weave ourselves more deeply into the fabric of the earth, herself. Porangui’s forthcoming album, Beauty Way, will be released on April 21, 2023.

Reared among the three cultures of Brazil, Mexico and the U.S., Poranguí was steeped in various traditional forms of music, healing and ceremony since birth. Drawing from his cross-cultural background and ethnomusicology training at Duke University, Poranguí has over twenty-five years of international work experience as an artist, musician, healer, and educator, utilizing the healing properties of sound and movement to foster our individual and collective well being.

As a live looping artist and one-man orchestra Poranguí weaves ancestral songs and indigenous rhythms from around the globe. Creating his performances from scratch using looping technology, Poranguí’s live grooves range from meditative to dance, moving the body, lifting the spirit, and transcending the divide between performer and audience. His World Soul concerts have taken him around the globe and led him to collaborate with many artists, including a current album series titled Kuya Sessions with Liquid Bloom.

Ashley Klein (Ed.S) is a dancer, embodiment guide, retreat facilitator, and music business manager based in Sedona, Arizona. She collaborates on and off stage with international touring artist, Poranguí, with the mission of sharing earth-based wisdom through the healing power of music and dance. 

Her life-long movement practices and training have led her to a current focus on facilitating Dancing Freedom journeys and continuing to study the polyrhythmic dances of the African diaspora. She is on the international Dancing Freedom training team and facilitates at festivals, retreats, and concerts guiding audiences into a deeper connection to the Earth Mother and the elemental wisdom innate within us all. Her spoken-word guidance is featured on the live album, "Poranguí Live - Guided Journey", as well as several remix tracks on "Poranguí - Remixes Vol I & Vol II". 

Additionally, Ashley co-creates retreats based in Sedona and around the world, curating containers for individuals to dive deep and feel held safely to become more of their authentic connected selves.

Mad Lemon x Motherfunk: Galacdisco

Dallas trio TRUE WIDOW craft patient, rounded music that calls to mind images of foggy dawns and parched fields. Formed in November 2007, TRUE WIDOW released their self-titled debut a year later and immediately caught the ears of the underground. At its core, the music of TRUE WIDOW is powered by the driving, guitar-dense aspects of shoegaze and stoner rock and the heavy, low-moving evocations of ambient music.

Following their auspicious start, the band returned in 2011 with their sophomore full length, As High As The Highest Heavens And From The Center To The Circumference Of The Earth. As High As The Highest Heavens saw the band solidify their direction and further mature their sound, but it wasn’t until 2013’s Circumambulation (TRUE WIDOW’s debut album for independent label Relapse Records) that they reached the heights - both professionally and compositionally - they have now. Circumambulation garnered the band widespread praise both within and beyond the metal world and was praised by publications as diverse as Pitchfork, NPR, Decibel Magazine, and Metal Injection. The band followed up the success of that album with extensive touring across the US, Russia, and Europe, including numerous appearances at renowned festivals such as Roadburn, Fun Fun Fun Fest, Psycho California, and more.

This year, Avvolgere, the forthcoming LP from Texas trio TRUE WIDOW, perfects the formula that Circumambulation established. The album rocks and rolls with serene, rounded climaxes and steep, jangling choruses that engulf the listener with waves of downbeat, saccharine melodies and mesmerizing distortion. Describing Darius’ music is like trying to gather the infinitely large and the infinitely small or thinking music can be as hedonist as introspective. For almost ten years, the very discreet producer feeds us his dreamy music, filled with cosmic images. An intense universe revealed through his frenetic live sets and our imagination when we close our eyes, but also through meticulous visuals, photography and graphic design. Darius cultivates his inspirations since his debut in 2012, same year when he meets Cezaire, founder of Roche Musique, who didn’t think twice about offering him to be part of the Label.

Inspired by filtered house music from the French Touch era, Darius takes nonetheless a different path than his elders. At a time when everyone would still sample, he chose to bring together spatial territories and immersed symbolic, through melodies that make you want to dance as much as dream, like his first EP ‘Romance’, released on Roche Musique in 2014. This EP gathers everything that characterize Darius as a unique producer: echoing chords, breaks that infinitely spread out and chorus that stick in your mind. That’s how ‘Hot Hands’ and ‘Espoir’ transcended borders, allowing Darius to travel and play live throughout the world, inspiring himself with new cultures and encounters.

Some countries became a second home for Darius as his international audience keeps growing with the millions of plays that accumulates, especially in the USA (5M), Canada (1M), Russia (1M), Japan (1M), South Korea (1M) and Mexico (1M). Overall, today, about 2 million people listen to his music every month, on all streaming platforms, numbers that would make Darius’ head spin.

With this first project, Darius becomes more meticulous and plays with hypnotic textures when he presents his debut album ‘Utopia’ in 2017. Darius debuts his return in 2020 with a new single titled ‘EQUILIBRIUM’ in collaboration with Wayne Snow, alongside a music video brilliantly directed by the talented Alice Kong. This brand-new single will turn out to be an almost secrete announce for a new upcoming project from the artist, with singles featuring Benny Sings on ‘RISE, Duñe on ’FEELS RIGHT’, Amaria on ‘FADED’ and FlwrChyld on ‘CAN’T LET GO’.

Cuban-American songstress Kat Dahlia has achieved universal success and acclaim. As a Latin Grammy nominated songwriter, Kat has garnered platinum status for her solo music, as well as her work with Selena Gomez, DJ Snake, Becky G, and Christina Aguilera. Having established a bilingual platform for US-born Latin songwriters, and with legions of worldwide fans and over 500 million worldwide streams, Kat Dahlia truly sets herself apart as the zeitgeist for modern LatinX musicians.

Moon Boots and Pete Dougherty are technically the same person, but in many ways, the two couldn’t be more different. The former is a celebrated DJ, a globe-trotting extrovert whose genre-hopping (but always funky) sets reliably fill dancefloors around the world. The latter is a relatively shy dude with a studio tan who has been geeking out on synths since he was a teenager.

Pete was born in Brooklyn, and some of his earliest musical memories include block parties where Paradise Garage classics like MSFB’s “Love Is the Message” blared through the neighborhood. His adolescent years were spent in the suburbs, where he studied classical and jazz and played synth and keys in a variety of bands.

After catching disco fever in an unlikely place – while studying at Princeton University – he moved to Chicago, the birthplace of house music. The city transformed Pete. Not only did it give him the chance to see legends like Frankie Knuckles, Paul Johnson and Derrick Carter on their home turf, it also gave him the opportunity to start DJing himself.

He spent a few years playing synths in the band Hey Champ until he decided to produce some tunes on his own and Moon Boots was born. The alias began taking shape with a series of releases for French Express. The label, headed up by Perseus, a fellow R&B and French house aficionado, provided Dougherty with a platform, and he quickly leveled up his craft, eventually signing with Anjunadeep and moving back to Brooklyn.

The first Moon Boots album, First Landing, arrived in 2017, and was followed two years later by Bimini Road. Emphasizing melody while blending elements of house, disco, soul and R&B, both records were widely embraced – with over 100 million streams – and as they picked up steam, so did Moon Boots’ DJ schedule. Over the years, the versatile selector has found himself playing everywhere from dimly lit clubs and warehouse parties to massive festivals. Regardless of where the DJ booth is located, his objective remains the same: to keep people dancing, preferably with a giant smile on their face.

A third album is on the horizon with the release of Ride Away set to land on March 17th on Anjunadeep. Written and produced over a nearly two-year period beginning in early 2021, Ride Away contains themes of love, companionship, and personal exploration. Hauling in a crate’s worth of musical influences,  Moon Boots has imbued Ride Away with his characteristic blend of soul, disco, and house music, whilst also introducing the sounds of synthpop, breakbeats, and psychedelica. Marrying these eclectic styles is part and parcel of Moon Boots’ idiosyncratic sensibility, honed through years of living and DJing in Chicago, the birthplace of house music, and in the musical melting pot of Brooklyn.

From May 2023, Moon Boots will take Ride Away on the road for a 6-date North American tour. A contemporary UK electronic music institution, Eats Everything (AKA Daniel Pearce) has a global reputation built on versatility, superlative skills, and a positive outlook – core fundamentals that have made him one of the most in-demand artists around. With his roots firmly embedded in the vibrant, influential music culture of his hometown, Bristol, Eats Everything channels his broad musical palette into every aspect of his output. In 2021 the globetrotting DJ, accomplished producer, prolific remixer, label owner, radio host, and mastermind behind a collection of popular party brands will celebrate 10years of his now infamous pseudonym.

Back in 2011, when Eats arrived on the scene, he was in the last chance saloon; working a job he wasn’t enjoying, while DJing was a hobby. Had it not been for the success of ‘Entrance Song’ he might still be working in recruitment. Fortunately, he broke through and, 10 years on, has not only maintained the energy of that first release but has surpassed it with a consistently high level of production and a diverse range of styles. Since that breakthrough, his production abilities have been demonstrated time and time again across an extensive back catalogue that includes an array of infamous ‘Rebeef’ mixes, edits, original solo cuts, and collaborations.

Eats Everything was a raver first and foremost, spending his formative years in Bristol’s infamous clubs (like Lakota and the FireStation) where his love for music was cemented. The result is an artist who is able to establish a deep bond with the crowd in front of him, with an intuitive understanding of how to keep the dancefloor pumped all night long. Dan began playing records when he was 12 and he’s been dedicated to electronic music ever since. With his turntables set up at his bedroom window, he would look out from behind the decks and imagine playing to thousands of people. Now that dream is a reality and he’s relishing every second.

Dan’s technical ability combined with his musical knowledge – spans house, techno, disco, garage, jungle, and much more. There are many sides to Eats Everything, but at his core is the essence of rave culture: cultivating the party energy that unites everyone on the dancefloor. He’s commanded the big stage at festivals, played captain on boat parties, smashed dancefloors at clubs from Brazil to Australia and everywhere in between, and appeared at a wide range of unusual locations from a butcher’s shop in the Austrian mountains and a church in Amsterdam to London’s Natural HistoryMuseum and a fish’n’chip shop in his native Bristol.

He supported Fatboy Slim on his UK arena tour, and the two men performed their Fat Boy EatsEverything back-to-back show at Glastonbury’s Arcadia stage in 2019. Other highlights include his close ties with globally-respected brands at Resistance and Elrow, two powerhouse rave outfits that have welcomed Eats into their respective family units. In 2012 Dan’s prolific approach to edits led to the recording of a classic Essential Mix made up entirely of his own beefed-up reworks – his second appearance on the Essential Mix that year, and the first time an artist appeared twice in the same year. Other notable mix credits include a contribution to fabric’s world-renowned series. ‘Fabric 86’ was released in 2015 picking up high praise from peers and fans alike.

On the label tip, he launched Edible back in 2015, followed by EI8HT in 2019. Edible focuses on good quality house music, across the board, signing artists such as Paul Woolford, Elliot Adamson, Jesse Perez, Seb Zito, Catz ‘n Dogz, Waze & Oddessey, Melé, and more. Meanwhile, EI8HT takes the techno blueprint and injects it with funk and groove. Both labels continue to support new music, maintaining a constant flow of releases throughout the global shutdown and keeping fans entertained across the planet. With three decades spent on the dancefloor and in the booth, both labels benefit from EatsEverything’s experience. On top of this, he has been a firm advocate for the ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’ charity, raising funds to provide safe clean water across Africa and India with special NYE performances. He also played a surprise charity show in his hometown in 2017 to raise money for two local charities (CrisisCentre Ministries and LoveBristol) that work with those affected by homelessness and addiction.

Eats Everything

Join us at the Convergence Station on May 15th to learn how to shuffle dance! Instructors Amy and Jake will break down the fundamental movements of this footwork based dance style, allowing you to step into a shuffle journey on the right foot! 

This is a beginner class that is designed for individuals of all ages who are new to the shuffle dance style or have little to no experience with dance. In this class, students will learn the basic steps and techniques of shuffle dance, followed by an ecstatic dance party to show off your new moves! 

The class will begin with a warm-up to prepare the body for dance, followed by a breakdown of the basic shuffle steps, including the running man, T-step, and charleston. The instructors will demonstrate and explain each step in detail, as well as encouraging students to express their own style and personality through the dance. 

We encourage you to come dressed as your groovy galactic self! Imagine you’re attending a music festival on a far off planet of your own design. This class provides a fun and supportive environment for students to learn, grow, and express themselves through dance. We can’t wait to see you there!

Amy and Jake started their shuffle journey over five years ago and haven't looked back since. In 2020, Amy began teaching shuffling as a way to stay busy during the pandemic. In 2021, the duo moved to Denver from the East Coast to begin a whole new journey together. Amy and Jake quickly became connected to various communities and establishments around the city through dance. 

As of the last year, they have formed a community of their own which continues to grow each week. In addition to their weekly classes taught at the Collabratory Complex in Denver, Amy and Jake also coach 1:1, teach at community events, and perform whenever the opportunity arises. Amy and Jake believe everyone is a dancer and learning this style of dance will allow you to see yourself in that light.

An instantly recognizable DJ with his unique style and a one-of-a-kind beard, Will Clarke has solidified his place in dance music with recent hits "Hallelujah," "U Take Me Higher," and his collaboration with MK, "My Church" all released on his new label All We Have Is Now. In addition to his work on his own label, Will Clarke has recently put out records on highly esteemed labels Trick, Kneaded Pains, Filth on Acid, We Are The Brave, TrueSoul, and Relief as well as a string of remixes including Duke Dumont's "Love Song" and a remix of Adam Beyer's "Your Mind" on Drumcode.

Will's impressive producer repertoire and distinctive sound of low end bass, heavy hitting drums, and signature melodies have caught the attention of industry top players Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles, Patrick Topping, Camelphat, and Fisher. Coming onto the scene strong in 2016 with his hit record, "Booty Percolatin" Will Clarke was nominated as the "Best Newcomer" that same year at the annual DJ Awards in Ibiza. Will Clarke has additionally culminated two Billboard Dance chart #1s for his remixes of U2 and Rihanna.

With the world taking a break from touring, Will Clarke has refused to let that stop him from reaching audiences worldwide. This past year, on top of his musical output Will also launched The Will Clarke Podcast featuring conversations with athletes, chefs, music industry figures, and fellow artists including Layton Giordani, Reinier Zonneveld, Mikey Lion, Rebuke, Huxley, Mistajam, Shadow Child, Chip E, and Gene Farris.

Amtrac favors a tactile assembly of alternative electronic music reliant on handcrafted nuance akin to that of a band. The Kentucky-born and Los Angeles-based artist, DJ, producer, remixer, multi- instrumentalist, and founder of Openers carefully fuses textures and styles into an unabridged, unfiltered, and undeniable sonic trip on his aptly titled second full-length, Oddyssey [Openers/RCA Records]. As such, he imparts a piece of himself on every moment -- from the production and composition to the vocals and performance.

"The goal is for the music to feel pure," he affirms. "It's not like I'm cutting corners. I put a lot of time into creating a deliberate body of work. It's definitely for me first, and it tells a story."

The story represents the culmination of a near nine-year journey since the release of his acclaimed 2011 debut, Came Along. The album elevated the Morehead, KY native -- born Caleb Cornett -- to the cutting edge of electronic music. In its wake, he amassed an acclaimed catalog of originals and remixes. Among the originals, 2014's "Those Days" notably boasted vocals from Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. Following the 2016 solo EP Lost In Motion, he reached a new plateau on the 1987 EP during 2017. Both "Never Lost" and "Piano Boy" put up over 6 million Spotify streams each as his total stream tally neared the 100 million mark.

Along the way, he earned praise from Billboard, Mixmag, Revolt, Complex, i-D Magazine, and more in addition to gracing the stages of major festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Osheaga Festival, and Holy Ship!, to name a few. Not to mention, he headlined shows on four continents. Launching Openers in 2017, he provided a home to tracks by Durante, Rick Trainor, Luces, and many others.

Amidst this whirlwind, he continued to write music, working towards what would become Oddyssey. This time around, he nodded to a wider swath of influences. Inspired by filmmaker and composer John Carpenter of Halloween and Escape From New York fame, he further utilized outboard gear and incorporated synthesizer soundscapes as he built the framework of the record. He also sang on a total of four tracks.

"I'm very inspired by movie scores and soundtracks," he goes on. "Oddyssey has got elements of the first album, but it's very synth-oriented. The bond of sound and visuals really inspired me. There are more vocals than ever before as well. Everything is part of the narrative."

He teased the album by way of "Madness to Mayhem," which Billboard dubbed, "a song that seems to bridge the gap between his Came Along days and the moody blues of his present." Meanwhile, the first single "Between The Lines" illuminates an evolution. Above resounding piano, Amtrac's upbeat and uplifting production builds towards a hummable hook awash in a rush of fluttering neon synths and a driving beat. He croons, "I said every single lesson is stuck on loop, read between the lines."

"There's a lot of trial-and-error tinkering to find the magic moment," he says. "That launches the path of a song. It's what happened on 'Between The Lines.' I wanted to do something faster and more high energy, and I went for it. As far as the lyrics go, most of them pertain to my relationships. That's the case here, for sure."

Elsewhere on the record, Amtrac's vocals also drive the indie rock-influenced "Stratego" and pensive "Accountable," while Lali Puna delivers a dreamy cameo on "No Place" and Alex Metric contributes a heartfelt vocal turn to the synth swells of "So Afraid."

Renowned for his performances, the live show will reflect the same spirit, integrating visuals as he plays synthesizers live and takes the microphone. "I want to do different things every show," he adds. "It's meant to be unique."

In the end, Amtrac's authenticity shines in everything he does.

"This is just me making music," he leaves off. "There's no agenda. It's not influenced by anything beyond what I love. I'd love for people to get the genuine aspect and enjoy it."

Local-verse: A Celebration of Denver Favorites!

Steeped in classic soul standards and outfitted with modern flair, The Burroughs are a nine piece band with a powerhouse sound that has been electrifying audiences across Colorado and beyond. Since 2013, the band has lit up stages with their trademark brand of “Sweaty Soul Music,” quickly earning their rightful place as one of the best live bands in the region.  

The Burroughs’ 2019 release with Color Red, a digital 45 featuring the original tunes “The Slip” and “Forever In Love,” has been called “a funk-focused, witty complimentary pair of tracks that are like nothing you’ve ever heard in decades” by 303 Magazine. Funktropolis writes “The band drops pure fire on this funkalicious groove—super-tight horn lines, bumpin’ bass, dirty rhythm guitar and a sizzling beat. And can we talk about that bridge? The Godfather himself would tip his hat to this monster of a bridge, which raises the track’s funk level through the roof.” The tracks were recorded at Color Red’s studio in Denver, CO, and produced by Mike Tallman of Euforquestra and Kim Dawson of The Pimps of Joytime. 

No newcomer to uplifting spirits, Johnny Burroughs has a background working as a licensed minister and music pastor. His church upbringing serves him well on stage, where the red-headed frontman sings, dances, and screams audiences into a revival-like frenzy. His dynamite backing band includes a sizzling 4 piece horn section and tight 4 piece rhythm section that are as versatile as they are fun to watch. The band’s live performances are capped by choreographed dancing, soaring solos, and funky grooves, with the goal of moving the audience to a joyful celebration by each show’s closing tune.  

The Burroughs have played prestigious festivals and venues including Salmonfest Alaska, Bohemian Nights New West Fest, Denver's Underground Music Showcase, and the Mishawaka. They have opened for acts including The Motet, The Steve Miller Band, Keller Williams, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and The Main Squeeze. Previous recorded releases include their full-length studio album Got to Feel (2018); the single “You Are My Joy,” and b-side “1968” (2016); and the full-length live album Sweaty Greeley Soul (2015), recorded live at the Moxi Theater.  

Since the band’s start, The Burroughs have always embraced their hometown of Greeley, Colorado, with a passion for community outreach. Previous partnerships have amplified the work of great organizations like the Weld Food Bank, Greeley Boys and Girls Clubs, and Habitat for Humanity. The band’s latest mission is an ongoing partnership with Greeley-Evans District 6 Schools titled #BandsGiveBack- a campaign for local artists to pledge money and time dedicated towards providing all area students with access to music education. Providing music clinics and joint performances with high school bands around their city and across the country, The Burroughs hope to inspire the next generation of musicians to find a career path in music.

While the 2020 pandemic spelled doom and gloom for many a musician, it signified a new beginning for Boulder-based roots artist Andrew McConathy.

The guitar-playing frontman, lead singer and primary songwriter of the group formerly known as The Drunken Hearts initially thought a worldwide calamity meant the beginning of the end to a career he’s pursued since 2010. Then an angel of mercy from his past emerged, giving him a second chance to make things right in his life and his songs.

McConathy’s story of give and take, rise and fall, and hope lost and found gets the personal treatment on Reckless Ways of Living, his new album coming out June 9, with a release show on June 10 at Meow Wolf in Denver. 

Along the way to this career resurgence, he dropped the three-letter word from his band’s name, going solo as Andrew McConathy for a short time.

Previously presiding over a group of ever-changing members through 2019, his evolution continues as essentially a one-man band that enlists guest players in the studio or on the road when he needs them. “The pandemic really tore the doors off of &quot;The&quot;
Drunken Hearts,” he maintains.

“It’s difficult to make this an actual career that pays the bills,” McConathy concedes. “Even before COVID-19, I could have finally given up after dealing with several tragic experiences,” such as the 2014 death of Ted Welles, The Drunken Hearts’ cofounding member and drummer. Instead, a renewed sense of faith in his abilities and songs followed. Finding another album within as the pandemic dust cleared, McConathy realized, “There is something cathartic about putting everything that you have into something.”

After releasing the Wildflower Sessions EP in February 2022, McConathy basically relied on a new cast of characters with a few familiar folks for Reckless Ways of Living. He called that album “a last-ditch effort to preserve my dream in this musical life. … I’ve put every last dollar and every atom of my being into this record.” 

McConathy and his future producer/cowriter Dave Pahanish, who has helped pen No. 1 Billboard country singles for the likes of Toby Keith, Keith Urban, and Jimmy Wayne, didn’t know each other until a mutual connection put them together. In January 2021, McConathy initially planned to celebrate the 90th birthday of his grandmother, Bettye McConathy, with other family members in Nashville. He was looking to line up a show of his own so they could see him perform as part of the weekend’s festivities.

Seeking assistance, he turned to his agent Derek Smith, a former drummer whose suggestion was an old friend from their high school punk band days in McMurray, Pennsylvania — Pahanish. After the omicron variant interrupted those birthday plans, Pahanish made up for the failed attempt by presenting McConathy with a songwriting session at his home in Lebanon, Tennessee, a short drive from Nashville.

Their partnership yielded results the first time they got together last June to write “Falling Stars.” The moving song about fallout from “living fast, dying hard” was completed “in maybe two hours, maybe less,” according to McConathy. 

Pahanish agreed to produce, engineer and mix the album at his Panfish Studios, describing it as “a really trippy, psychedelic barn” on his property. McConathy supplied his brawny baritone voice that has drawn comparisons to Eddie Vedder. He also discovered“a phenomenal musician” in Pahanish, who played acoustic guitar, bass, mellotron and percussion.

They ultimately shared songwriting credits on all 10 tracks, with The String Cheese Incident’s Keith Moseley (“Never Say
Goodbye”), and Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman (“100 Proof”) assisting on one track each. 

McConathy contends the final product is “our best yet,” adding, “the songs are reasonably more of an honest representation of me as a songwriter. … And I think Dave’s production style is great.”

Featured guest artists include American Aquarium’s Neil Jones (who excels throughout on pedal steel), international banjo
champion Kyle Tuttle (Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway) and Lindsay Lou (backing vocals) on “Forever Highway,” fiddler Jason Carter (Del McCoury Band) on “Dark Times,” and Herman’s son Silas on mandolin for three songs. Among the Drunken Hearts musicians contributing were Alex Johnson (drums), James Dumm (electric guitar) and Tyler Adams (keys/organ).

The lyrics might dig deepest on “Good Graces,” McConathy’s redemption song that serves as a painful reminder of October 25, 2014, when Welles died a few days after he fired him.

“We were very, very, very close friends,” offers McConathy, who still can’t comprehend that senseless tragedy. “[Teddy] didn’t necessarily have the drive, or the need, to make music his life. … I think about him every day, as well as several others we have lost along the way, almost every time I pick up the guitar.”

While vowing to make music “my real profession” from that point, McConathy admits, “That part of it certainly has been a struggle.”

“The Bright” is another song written “specifically about people in my life that I’ve lost.” It includes lyrics adapted from a sermon during his grandfather’s 2022 funeral in Shreveport, Louisiana, where McConathy was born. Admitting they weren’t “extremely close,” he still found a way to honor Milton Chapman (who passed due to complications from COVID), “a legendary physician and true hero,” with “The Bright,” opening with:

When the light is dim / And death’s by my side / To walk among the angels / And sing with the choir

“The Bright” obviously hits close to home for McConathy’s relatives, especially his mom, Tricia McConathy, who “cries every time she hears it now,” he divulges. Perhaps it’s fitting that the Comeback King of Drunken Hearts is finding peace, redemption, and resolution, firmly believing that once-tattered relationship with his grandfather is now blessed by the man who walks among the angels.

Hostage Situation is a Denver based trio that began working together in the summer of 2021. The crew quickly is making a name for themselves around the local scene due to the wide variety of music they produce and DJ. While they mainly focus on heavy hitting dubstep/riddim, Hostage Situation also has a passion for different forms of bass music that are more emotionally driven in an attempt to create heartfelt moments for their audience. Within the first year, this trio has performed opening slots at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, Gothic Theater, Club Vinyl, Church Nightclub and sold out their first headline show at The Black Box. In addition, they have performed at multiple Denver based festivals such as Global Dance Festival, Supernatural Festival and Decadence NYE Colorado.  Fans are excited to see these three continue to take the scene hostage.

Hostage Situation

Mark Farina is a name that rings out across the entire global dance music industry. His non-stop touring, constant content creation, partnerships with legendary venues and record labels as well as his total commitment to showcasing the best new and old school producers in his sets have made him a living legend to lovers of house and Mushroom Jazz everywhere.

“I look at my job as a ‘modern day traveling minstrel’.  To bring new music to as many places as I can and expose obscure records that otherwise might go hidden.”

At the age of 16, in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, Mark became obsessed with music and record collecting eventually discovering the ‘80s underage club mecca, Medusa’s.  While record shopping at Import’s Etc. in 1988, Farina met fellow innovator and future best mate, Derrick Carter, who steered him towards groundbreaking House Music Producers and labels of the time.  Later that year, Farina landed an impressive residency at Chicago’s legendary live music venue, Smart Bar, a relationship he maintains to this day.  In 1989, Mark, Derrick, and Chris Nazuka (aka Symbols and Instruments) signed with Kevin Sanderson’s KMS records and released “Mood” which sold over 35,000 copies and is credited as the first “Ambient House” track.

Farina then pushed musical boundaries even further when he experimented with a deeper style of music that wasn’t being played in the main rooms of nightclubs.  Combining the likes of De La Soul with disco classics and Martin Luther King samples, he seamlessly blended West Coast jazzy beats, acid jazz grooves, the Chicago House sound of his youth and some ‘90s New York Hip-Hop.  The result: Mushroom Jazz.  The birth of this new sound cemented Farina’s musical versatility.  He recorded limited-edition cassette tapes that would sell out in minutes at Chicago’s Gramophone Records, the store Mark worked at in the early 90’s. Promoters took notice of his rapidly expanding following and soon his schedule was packed with gigs around Chicago and the rest of the US.

In 1992, Farina relocated to San Francisco, California, where he started co-hosting a weekly Mushroom Jazz club night on Wednesdays.  At the same time, OM Records released Volume 1 of the groundbreaking Mushroom Jazz CD series.   In a testament to the series’ continued impact on the culture of Dance Music, in 2016 Mark dropped Mushroom Jazz 8, which not only celebrated its 25th Anniversary but also debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Album Chart.

San Francisco continued to inspire Mark throughout the millennium.  During this era of mix CD’s, Farina released more than a dozen compilations on various labels including United DJ’s of America Vol. 9 (DMC), Air Farina (OM)  (featuring his smash single, “Dream Machine” [feat. Sean Hayes]), Live in Tokyo (OM) and Fabric 40 (Fabric).  Mark Farina’s impressive discography is a true education in House Music history.

With a passion for playing extended all night long shows as well his recent foray into streaming exemplified by his highly successful new YouTube series with Defected Records, Farina continues to tirelessly entertain his incredible fans all over the globe with over 100 shows per year.

He’s also greatly increased his original productions and remixes with partner Homero Espinosa while guiding his own label Great Lakes Audio Recordings. Mark has several new projects lined up for release in 2023 including Mushroom Jazz 9.

The last few years have been an incredible new era of creativity, outreach, and recognition for one of the most original and consistent voices in the business. Mark continues to connect with new fans without losing those who have been loyal supporters from day one. The premiere screening of the feature film “Modern Arcana,” a kaleidoscopic reincarnation romance about two souls who meet in the afterlife and take turns living lives of their choice. Spaceships, celestial beings, pirates, coffin dragging cowgirls, mixed martial artists, detective toaster and a collection of riotous celebrity cameos create their many lives, and the underlying story of two souls finding love beyond death. Should they give it all up for one life together, and who says love only has to last one lifetime?

The film was created over six years at a five acre art space in Southern Colorado. The life segments are contributions from multiple Directors and Community Voices. Each seeks to show the fun and unique options life presents and the universal connection of all beings. 

There is some violence and blood. No nudity and minor language.

The leads of the film are Rico Changeux and Serina Ojala. Rico is a professional dancer and choreographer of over 30 years, and has worked with names including Michael Jackson, Prince, Usher, Brittney Spears and Janet Jackson. Serina starting studying with Rico as a child and is his hip hop protege’s as well as a professional salsa dancer. Celebrity segments include Michael Winslow (Police Academy, Spaceballs), Lloyd Kaufman (Troma Entertainment) and Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean, Little People Big World).

On the cusp of their 30th year with Warp records, now is the time to reflect on the massively important presence of Plaid, aka Ed Handley and Andy Turner. An institution since the late 80s, they're monumental cornerstones for any self-respecting electronic music fan; mainly as Plaid, but also under aliases including The Black Dog and Balil -- not to mention their work with Bjork.

Playful and wondrous, their 11th album 'Feorm Falorx' is generally gentler than the dark angularity its predecessor 'Polymer,' but it's no less deep, and maintains the melodicism for which they're loved. It's still highly rhythmic too -- traversing 'Set If Off' hi-hats, digitised harpsichords, mangled mandolin, cascading strings, rude basslines, mercurial grooves and even a touch of goth guitar.

Keen advocates of technology, here they manage to sound cutting edge, but also warm, human and nostalgic -- purveying a sort of high-tech-retro-futurism. As usual they're ever evolving, but there's also line traceable right back within their own music. From their maverick early releases until now, they've embraced new methods of synthesis and explored diverse musical styles, maintaining a thread that spins through the early hip hop of their youth and beyond -- to the sounds of the 60s and 70s that inspired it. Although not immediately obvious, on closer listen you can discern the influence of wigged-out grooves like Prince's 'Soft and Wet,' Bob James' 'Westchester Lady' and Jethro Tull's 'Bourée.'

The creatively emancipated, light-hearted nature of the sounds is reflected in the album's concept, which finds the duo recreating a recent performance at the Feorm Festival, an intergalactic shindig held on the planet Falorx. In order to survive the Falorxian atmosphere they were converted into light so the traditional recording devices they'd taken on their spacecraft 'The Campbell' were not functional. Fortunately, having consulted Earth's Space Agency, it was deemed safe to recreate the performance back in their London studio. Extensive testing of the resulting recordings have established a level of thought contamination deemed, "perfectly acceptable."

'The album artwork and press photos were created using a myriad of AI technology, Image Synthesis and OpenAI's DALL·E, which can be seen in action here. Expanding on the same theme using AI/AR mechanisms, these will be followed by videos and a graphic novel, building into a whole Falorxian planet.'
